Is Temp Number really free?

Temp Number's public board is free: no plan, no price, no credit to top up on this side of the service. The catch is the one you get with any shared inbox: the phone numbers are hit by everyone at once, and popular online services will often have already seen a given number, so the account creation fails silently before an sms ever arrives.

The free side asks for nothing (no sign-up, no card, no email) and the code appears right in the browser, which is fine for a throwaway signup on online services and risky for anything you would not want a stranger to read. The Indian listing carries dialling code +94, which belongs to Sri Lanka; India is +91.
