Is Receive SMS Free really free?
Receive SMS Free charges nothing and asks for no card. In practice only the Dutch, Slovenian and Finnish phone numbers were live, with fresh SMS arriving within hours. The United States listings all showed a green Online tag while their most recent verification codes were six months old, so American coverage is nominal rather than usable.
